Born in Porto in 1997, Hugo Peres pursued an elite education at ESMAE and the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, earning two master’s degrees including one in Lied. A laureate of international competitions such as the Alto Minho Iberian Competition (1st Prize) and a semifinalist at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Competition, he has collaborated with renowned artists and performed in prestigious venues like Casa da Música. Currently, he refines his Lied interpretation skills at the University of Mozarteum and is a member of the Lied Academy at the Heidelberger Frühling Festival.
